Bridgestone Philippines Continues to Advocate for Road Safety by Supporting C! Magazine’s Campaign

April 27, 2018

Following the positive feedback from the C! Road Safety Campaign last year, Bridgestone Philippines continues to promote Road Safety by supporting C! Magazine as they continue their initiative for 2018.

The 1st Leg was held in head office of China Banking Corporation in Paseo de Roxas, Makati City this 21st of April. It was a well-attended event full of eager listeners.

Road accidents in the Philippines are still quite rampant because of misinformed and irresponsible drivers - an unfortunate reality that both Bridgestone and C! would like to address through education.

“Sadly, many motorists today overlook the crucial role that tires play when it comes to their safety on the road, and that’s something we’d very much like to change,” said Leslie Tagle-Dinglasan, AVP for Corporate Planning & Strategic Support. She went on to say that it’s about time that Filipinos realize that tires are also an investment that car owners should undoubtedly make as a true sign of commitment to their driver’s license, a privilege earned and not simply assumed.

The C! Road Safety Program counters exactly that by teaching drivers about safe and responsible driving. The talks cover subjects like distracted driving, important tire information that people need to know, correct tire care and purchase, proper use of car seats for children, and first-aid during a road accident, as well as a review of road signs and road rules.

Key speakers from the Tuason Racing School, Bridgestone, and MMDA were in attendance to educate the four-wheel and two-wheel drivers. Speakers were: Mr. Carlo Claudio from Tuason Racing School (TRS), Mr. Brian Lee and Mr. Cesar Soque from Bridgestone Philippines, Ms. Ayra Magtibay from Maxi Cosi, Capt. Bryan Payte from Lifeline Ambulance Service, and Mr. Miguel Panal from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

The C! Road Safety Campaign is also supported by Nature's Spring, The Philippine Star, and Wheels TV.

The C! Road Safety Campaign will run from April to October 2018. For more information, please visit www.c-magazine.com or you may send us a message directly on our Facebook Page facebook.com/roadsafetybycmag.
